Christine Hayes, 62, of Marbury died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at her residence.

She was born Thursday, Dec. 12, 1946, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Melvin Gibson and the late Viola Noah.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Earl Hayes of Marbury; five sons, Roger Hayes of Marbury, Robert (Pencie) Hayes of Lomax community, Chris Hayes of Marbury, Timothy (Selaine) Hayes of Clanton, and Eric Hayes of Marbury; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Dorothy) Gibson of Pell City, and Joe Gibson of Clanton; Sister, Sue (Arther) Moton of Plantersville.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gibson; sister, Dorothy Gibson; sister, Carolyn Gibson; and sister, Rubynell Gibson.

Services will be held Friday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Culpepper and the Rev. Neal Hodo officiating.

Interment will follow in Verbena Cemetery in Verbena.
