JHS to sell tickets early

If the Chilton County High-Jemison football game on Aug. 27 is the same kind of show as last year, you’ll want to get your ticket early.

Jemison, which is hosting this year’s rivalry game, will let fans do just that. The school will have pre-sale tickets available in the office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Aug. 24 until the day of the game.

“If you already have a ticket, you won’t have to wait in line,” Jemison principal Alan Thompson said. “I was there last year, and it was a headache.”

Last year’s contest saw Jemison break a four-year losing streak to the Tigers on a 33-yard touchdown pass with less than a minute remaining in the game.

This year’s game will be the first in the newly renovated Panther Stadium, which seats about 2,500 people.

Tickets, pre-sale and at the gate, cost $6. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
