Mary Jo Skidmore, 59, of Clanton died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham.
She was born Saturday, Nov. 5, 1949, in Alabama, daughter of the late Joe Lee Skidmore and the late Mary Lou Lee Skidmore.
She was an LPN.
Surviving are her two daughters, Samantha Robinson (Sonny Mooney) of Jemison and Alfredia (Jeff) Shavers of Clanton; granddaughters, Shayna and Shelbie Robinson of Jemison, Leigh-Anna and Adrianna Shavers of Clanton; brother, Wayne Carte’ of Tuscaloosa; five sisters, Wanda (Sonny) Foster of Mobile, Charlotte (David) Waite of Silas, Doris (Randall) Wyatt of Clanton, Dixie (Barry) Jones of Clanton, and Donna Williams of Verbena; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred H. Cleckley Jr.; and parents, Joe Lee Skidmore and Mary Lou Skidmore.
Friends were received from 5-8, Friday, Aug. 14, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. 
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Carroll and the Rev. Don Vanderslice officiating. Interment ed follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
