Mr. and Mrs. James R. Jones of Jemison are pleased to announce the engagement and the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amber Leigh Jones, to Christopher Alan Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Alan Wood. 
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Brenda Durham of Jemison and the late F.C. and Ruby Nell Wallace. 
She is a 2001 graduate of Jemison High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Montevallo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. 
Amber works at CreekView Elementary in Maylene.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Ms. Carolyn Wood of Pelham and the late Henry William Wood, Ms. Dorothy Robison of Helena, and the late Billy Raymond Robison. 
He is a 2001 graduate of Kingwood Christian School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and a minor in business. 
Christopher works at Helena Fitness.
The wedding ceremony will be Sept. 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana. 
Family and friends are invited.
