Dr. Stan Cooke, a candidate in the 2010 U.S. House of Representatives District 6 Republican primary, will host a town hall meeting at Mathews Manor in Springville Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

All mayors, city council members and citizens of District 6 are invited to attend. District 6 includes the counties of Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Tuscaloosa.

Mathews Manor is located at 3279 U.S. Highway 11 in Springville.

Spencer Bachus is the current U.S. Rep. for District 6.
