Willie Dean Mims, 70, of Verbena died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at her residence. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was born Sunday, Sept. 4, 1938 in Alabama, daughter of the late Willie William Wesley Jones and the late Everine Brasher Jones.
She was a lab technician.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Douglas Mims of Verbena; two daughters, Jenniffer Charlene Mims of Prattville, Kennetha Jean Mims Wilson of Verbena; brother, John Will Jones of Clanton; sister, Shirley Grant of Verbena; five grandchildren, Jenniffer Smith of Enterprise, Kenneth McNeal of Prattville, Reda Brooks of Prattville, Stephen McNeal of Montgomery, Michael McNeal of Mobile; nine great-grandchildren, Rolland Smith, Adina Smith, Timothy Smith, Matthew McNeal, Molli McNeal, Joshua McNeal, Justin McNeal, Tiffany McNeal, Henry McNeal, Chloe McNeal, Jacob McNeal and Samuel Brooks.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Christensen and the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
