Agnes Lucile Hetu, 70, of Lapine died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her residence.
She was born Wednesday, April 26, 1939 in Marbury, daughter of the late Lloyd C. Smith and Pat Edwards Smith.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Hetu of Lapine; two daughters, Patricia Kelley of Montgomery, Dorothy Barber of Hope Hill; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; mother, Pat Smith of Deatsville; two sisters, Faye McQueen of Deatsville, Erline Williams of Deatsville.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Hetu; son, Arthur Hetu Jr.; and father, Lloyd C. Smith;.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 29 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday, July 30, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating.
Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
