A Chilton County High School student has been missing since July 12, when she was last seen walking a dog at Trilliam Apartments.

According to witnesses, Itzel Loranca, 16, was last seen leaving the apartment complex with an unidentified Hispanic male in a brown four-door car.

Police do not believe the 5-foot, 3-inch 120-pound Hispanic teen was abducted.

“We currently don’t believe she was taken against her will, but the longer she’s gone the more concerned we become,” Clanton Chief of Police Brian Stilwell said.

According to police, Loranca had a history of running away, thus her parents believed she was with relatives in Birmingham, but after failing to locate her, they filed a missing juvenile report July 20.

Police believe Loranca might be in the Birmingham/Bessemer area and are working with a state agency to find the girl.

“We’re just hoping for her safe return,” Stilwell said.

Anyone with information regarding the missing girl can call the Clanton Police Department at 205-755-1194.
