Mary Seymour Minor, 88, of Birmingham died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham.

She was born on Friday, June 4, 1920, in Lanette, daughter of the late John J. Seymour and the late Pearl Morgan Seymour.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are son Kenneth Minor of Birmingham, daughter Sharon Minor-Biel of Atlanta, Ga. and sister Jacquelyn S. Jones of West Point, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ed Minor, Jr.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Martin Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, May 29, 2009, at 2 p.m. at graveside with the Rev. David Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and a dedicated servant of God. She lived her life to the fullest, and we mourn her loss, but celebrate her homegoing.
