The Chilton County Softball Tournament, which was originally scheduled for March 27-28 but postponed because of the threat of severe weather, will be played Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28.

Jemison will not participate because the postponement created a scheduling conflict, but the other five county teams will begin play in the double elimination tournament at 4 p.m. on April 27 at Thorsby’s Sam Bentley Park.

Thorsby and Maplesville will play first, and the winner at 6 p.m. will face Chilton County, which received a first-round bye. Verbena and Isabella will also play at the 6 p.m. time slot.

Play will begin at noon on April 28, and the last game is scheduled for 8 p.m. that day.
