The Clanton Evening Lions Club encourages all local golfers to participate in its annual W.H. Thomas Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Clanton Country Club.

Registration forms are available at the country club, Bates Pool, and C&C Trophy and Sign.

Funds raised through the tournament will got to help prevent blindness.

William Thomas was a charter member of the Evening Lions Club and was dedicated to serving those in need, especially residents of Chilton County.

Thomas was the first club member to be presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, which is the most prestigious award that can be given to a club member.
