Fans of nationally syndicated radio host and financial guru Dave Ramsey, or anyone who could use a new perspective on the nation’s financial situation, will have a unique opportunity Thursday night.

New Life Community Church in Clanton is hosting Ramsey’s “Town Hall for Hope,” a live nationwide Web cast scheduled for April 23 at 7 p.m. Doors at the church will open at 6 p.m., and admission is free to all.

“I think there’s a lot of fear attached to our current financial situation,” event facilitator Randy Smith said. “Hopefully, what people will take away from this Web cast is how to overcome that fear and respond in their daily lives.”

New Life is the only known host for “Town Hall for Hope” located in Chilton County. The church, which has participated in Ramsey’s popular Financial Peace University series, was asked if they would be willing to host the event.

The Web cast will be projected on a screen for viewing by the public. There will also be opportunities for people to present questions during the event.

“Dave Ramsey teaches people how to handle their finances in a biblical sense,” Smith said. “He will address the financial difficulties we are going through right now and how we should be responding to that.”

New Life invites everyone to participate. The church is located at 1210 Seventh St. S., Clanton (next to Chilton County High School).
