Chilton County’s tennis team on April 16 bounced back from its first loss of the season to defeat Wetumpka, 6-3.

The Tigers (10-1) fell to Briarwood, 8-1, on April 14.

Against Wetumpka, singles results were (with CCHS players listed first): Cody Jones 8, Scotty Hubbard 5; Michael Elder 3, Thatcher Pinkston 8; Andy Foshee 8, Geoff Welch 2; Cody Cummings 8, Skylar Hubbard 0; Justin Mims 5, Chandler Dawkins 8; and Nathan Gray 8, David Moore 4.

Doubles results were: Elder/Cummings 8, Scotty Hubbard/Pinkston 3; and David Smith/Nicholas Lyn 0, Skylar Hubbard/Welch 8.

CCHS hosts Holtville on Monday.
