Sylvan Easterling

Mr. Sylvan O’neal Easterling, 81, of Clanton died Tuesday, March 24, at his residence.
He was born on Thursday, August 4, 1927 in Chilton County, son of the late Tommy B. Easterling and the late Sara Ethel McDowell Easterling.
He was a carpenter and a member of Bell Lane Baptist Church. He also worked with the Chilton Baptist Builders.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Odell Easterling of Clanton; three sons, Mr. Edward (Diann) Easterling of Verbena, Mr. Howell (Connie) Easterling of Mobile and Mr. Ray (Linda) Easterling of Alabaster; stepson, Mr. Jimmy (Dorothy) Jones of Clanton; stepdaughter, Mrs. Debbie (Butch) Kimble of Helena; close Friend, Mr. Bobby Cook of Clanton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Powell and the Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
