Thorsby 9, Vincent 3

The Thorsby baseball team today improved to 2-0 in area play with a win over Vincent.

The Rebels (13-3) were led by Evan Bryan, who went 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBI.

Brantley Bice, Joseph Prather, Dustin Wilson, Wesley Smitherman and Trent Glosson all had one hit.

Bice (4-1) was the winning pitcher. He allowed four hits and struck out 10.

Isabella 11, Verbena 3

The Mustangs (4-9) won behind Sawyer Cahalane’s work as the pitcher allowed nine hits in seven innings while striking out eight.

Sean Haigler (3/4, BB, 2B, 3 RBI) and Blake Lawley (2/4, 2B, 3B) for Isabella and Garrett Dennis (3/4, 2 RBI) and Bay Lucas (3/4, 2B) for Verbena had good games at the plate.
