Any savings is good savings

The City of Jemison is trying to look out for its community members. One way they are doing that is by enrolling in a program sponsored by the National League of Cities and CVS Caremark that could save their residents up to 20 percent on prescription drugs.

Mayor Eddie Reed said they learned about the program during their trip to Washington last week for the League of Cities national conference. There is no enrollment charge for the city, and it should be available to anyone that’s a resident of the city.

This is a good example of what good municipal leadership can do. City leaders should be looking for ways to help their residents any way they can and with as little cost to the city.

The program looks like a win-win situation. We hope Jemison leaders and all leaders will continue to look out for us.
