Loyd (Buddy) Davis Scott, 75, of Jemison died Tuesday, March 17, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born on Monday, Dec. 11, 1933 in Chilton County, son of the late Chester Vaughn Scott and the late Hazel Jones. He was a equipment operator.

Surviving are wife, Ellen Civilene Scott of Jemison; three daughters, Diane (Danny) Wyatt of Thorsby, Donna (Marty) Headley of Jemison and Jenny Michelle Scott of Jemison; three brothers, James (Ellen) Scott of Jemison, Jerry (Pat) Scott of Jemison and Joe (Patricia) Scott of Abilene, Texas; four sisters, Barbara (Alton) Carlee of Lawley, Marie Roop of Randolph, Kathryn (Arthur) Yeager of Centreville and Sherry (Steve) Hamrick of Centreville; two grandsons, Wesley Scott Headley of Jemison and Steven Craig Scott of Jemison; two granddaughters, Heather Wyatt Watson of Thorsby and Kacy Leane Headley of Jemison; two great-grandchildren, Brady Watson and Laken Watson.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Brent Wyatt; and brother, Floyd Scott.

Friends will be received from 5-8 tonight, March 19, at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison.
