Billy Max Brown, born on March 8, 1941, passed away March 3, at the age of 67. The Rev. Waymond Strickland conducted the Memorial Services held at Charter Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. Many family and friends attended both the official service at Charter Funeral Home and the private breakfast honoring Billy and his family at The Calera Elk’s Lodge on Sunday morning, March 8.
Billy was a treasured father and grandfather, a loyal member of the Calera Elk’s Lodge, and an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was also blessed with the opportunity to travel extensively during the last year of his life with his intended life-partner, Barbara Jones. He is survived by his dearly loved companion, Barbara Jones; sons, Mike (Evonne) Brown and Max (Cathy) Brown; daughter, Melissa (Tom) Pierce; sister, Louise Foust; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, Brandon, Jared, Tucker, Beth-Anne, Alexander, Cody and Dylan; and one great-grandson, Ethan.
