TUSCALOOSA — Alabama’s annual spring game isn’t just attracting huge crowds. Now the Crimson Tide’s A-day game will have a national television audience.

ESPN announced Tuesday that it will televise the game nationally on Saturday, April 18.

Alabama has drawn more than 170,000 fans to Bryant-Denny Stadium for the intrasquad scrimmage in the two years since coach Nick Saban took over. The combined crowds were tops in the nation for spring games over the past two years, including a capacity crowd of 92,138 in Saban’s debut.

The Crimson Tide won all 12 regular season games last season.

Admission to the game is free.
