Burnice Irene Heaps, 80, of Clanton died Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born Saturday, Jan. 12, 1929 in Franklin County, daughter of the late Bennie Jones and the late Lillian Gann.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, William N. Heaps of Clanton; son, Tommy E. (Charlotte) Heaps of Florence; two daughters, Sheila (Roger) Mims of Clanton, Shirley Henley of Clanton; three grandchildren, Will (Whitney) Heaps, Laura Heaps, Scott (Shelley) Mims; two brothers, Milton Jones of Russellville, Burley Jones of Russellville.

Services will be held today, Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m., at Clanton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Anderson and the Rev. Brian Dovey officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton.
