Ruby Sticher Pitts

Ruby Mae Sticher Pitts, 84, of Lithia Springs, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
Ms. Pitts was born Sept. 30, 1924 in Carrollton, Ga.; she was one of 10 children born to Jesse and Roberta Sticher. At the end of World War II, she met and married William (Bill) Pitts Jr. They had three children, Barry, Sandra and Vicki. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and homemaker.
Ms. Pitts was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Roberta Sticher; sisters, Opal Sticher and Hazel Sticher Horsely; husband, Bill Pitts; and daughter, Sandra Pitts.

Survivors include brother, Wendell (Sue) Sticher of Carrollton, Ga.; sisters, Sybil (Jay) Helms of Austell, Ga., Glenda (Doyle) Horton of Bowden, Ga., LaRue (Bobby) Hubbard of Carrollton, Ga., Melba Keaten of Lithia Springs, Ga., Joyce Ward of Duluth, Ga., and Evelyn Williams of Bowden, Ga.; son, Barry (Louise) Pitts of Clanton; daughter, Vicki Boggus of Franklin, Ga.; grandchildren, Laurie (Rodney) Buckland, Samantha (Kyle) Sims, Sally Pitts, B.J. Pitts, Jessica Pitts, Danielle Boggus and Trey Boggus; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church in Lithia Springs, Ga. Saturday, Feb. 28 from noon to 1 p.m. ET with funeral services immediately following and burial at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery.
