Britt makes home in Thorsby
Although Willis Britt isn’t a native of Thorsby, he now calls Thorsby home.
What brought Britt to Thorsby was the fact that he worked for the Alabama Department of Transportation. He was one of the engineers that helped see I-65 built in Chilton County.
Even though he is now retired from working with ALDOT, he still is called upon to help with some construction work. Recently, he helped them resurface a large portion of Highway 31 in Chilton County.
Because of that experience with the highway department, Britt has been assigned as the Thorsby Town Council’s representative for the town’s sewers and street department.
This is Britt’s second consecutive term on the Town Council.
