Gasoline prices across state climbing

MONTGOMERY — Alabama motorists are now watching gasoline prices slowly climb.

AAA reports the statewide average price for a gallon of regular has risen about 17 cents in the past month.

The statewide average for regular is $1.84 Monday.

The national average for regular is $1.92.

The statewide average for midgrade and premium fuels also rose to $1.97 and $2.00, respectively.

AAA said Huntsville has the highest metro average for regular at $1.88. It was cheapest in Montgomery at $1.81 a gallon.
