A motorcycle rider wasn’t severely injured in a crash on Highway 31 causing his bike to split in two pieces shortly before noon Friday.

The motorcycle traveling south on Highway 31 collided with a pick-up truck in front of ACME Supply, which is located a few blocks north of the Highway 145/22 intersection.

The driver of the truck wasn’t injured. The crash did back up traffic on Highway 31 for several minutes.

The Clanton Police Department is investigating the crash.
