Several Thorsby seniors played significant roles Tuesday in a 70-39 win that will be their last in their home gym.
Seniors Daniel Farris and Nathan Thornton dominated in the paint, crashing the offensive boards to give teammates second chances. Thornton finished with a game-high 17 points.
Shane Carr, another senior, scored eight points in the fourth period, and six of those points came on two 3-pointers.
Underclassmen Andrew Farris (12 points) and Eddie Hubbard (11 points) also had strong showings.
The Rebels trailed 12-9 after one period, but Evan Bryan connected on a 3-pointer on Thorsby’s first possession of the second quarter to spark the team to a 7-0 run and a lead it would never relinquish.

Thorsby squandered a 12-point, fourth-quarter lead to fall in its last home game of the season.
The Rebels relaxed with the game seemingly in hand, but Jasmine Richardson banked a shot off the glass with 1:42 left to play to give Winterboro its first lead since the score was 2-0.
Thorsby’s Ashlin Hilyer made two free throws with 53 seconds on the clock to reclaim the lead at 42-41, but Winterboro scored twice more before the buzzer.
Sharonda Cooper (16 points) and Hilyer (13) accounted for most of the Rebels’ scoring.
