Chilton County High’s boys basketball team picked up a crucial Class 5A, Area 5 win on Friday, defeating Demopolis 56-40.

The win was the last area game for the Tigers (12-8, 1-5 area), and it could mean the difference between the No. 3 seed and the No. 4 seed in the area tournament that begins Feb. 5.

Kenyon Floyd and Vincent Olanrewaju led CCHS with 10 points each on Friday, and Josh Williams had nine points.
