Helen Glasscock, 67, of Jemison died Monday, Jan. 19, at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham.
She was born on Tuesday, July 1, 1941 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Odis Jacks and Verlie Mae Deavers Jacks. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Wayne Glasscock of Jemison; two daughters, Cathy (Bill) Barker of Chelsea and Denise (Tim) Scott of Jemison; son, James Harold Glasscock of Jemison; six grandchildren, Chris Barker, Toni Barker, Samantha Glass, Randall Scott, Jennifer Scott, Chad Glasscock and Chandler Glasscock; A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and God given friends; mother, Verlie Mae Poe of Clanton; mother-in-law, Jessie Pearl McKinney of Jemison; two brothers, Carlton (Darlene) Jacks of Prattville and James Carl (Judy) Jacks of Jemison; three sisters, Lena Mae (Mike) Parker of Prattville, Virginia Crawford of Clanton and Janice Cherry of Millbrook; sister-in-law, Betty (Steve) Price of Millbrook.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Willis, and father, Odis Jacks.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., today, Jan. 21, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Bunion Porter officiating. Interment will follow in Archers Chapel Methodist, Jemison.
