Chilton County High was tied at 6 with visiting Carver-Montgomery after three minutes Friday, but it quickly became obvious the Tigers (7-8, 0-4 area) wouldn’t be able to compete the whole way.

Carver’s length and quickness gave the hosts problems all night, and the Wolverines (12-5, 4-1) won, 69-13.

After tying it early on, Chilton wouldn’t score again until halfway through the second quarter, when Rachel Johnston scored on an inbounds play.

Vernice Trimble led CCHS with five points, and Carver’s Meghan Perkins scored 16 points.

Quincy Underwood scored 11 points for the Tigers.
