We should show Obama support

Today is the first official day that Barack Obama will become our leader. The new president will be sworn in today and will be able to begin his four-year journey. Today will be a special day around the nation as many people have to come together and begin supporting one man. There have been many worries about this inauguration since Obama will be the first black president in the history of the United States.

Officials have been working to make sure the inauguration is safe and many precautions have been taken to prevent anything from happening that could ultimately be deadly to anyone especially Obama, in order to make this special day in history important to kids in the future. All throughout our past we have had magnificent people to lead us and we have been working to follow in all of their footsteps.

Our new president has many difficulties he is facing. The economy is probably the one that most people are concerned about. Many have lost jobs. Others have lost their homes. Some are having to work several jobs just to make ends meet. People on food stamps are higher than it has been in several years.

Some businesses have closed. Others are on their way to closing, and others have made major cutbacks.

This is a pretty bleak outlook, but this is an opportunity for a good leader. Obama has the potential to follow in the footsteps of other great leaders, and it is up to the public to help support him. Without the support of everyone the new president will not be able to do everything that he can to help bring America back up on her feet.

Obviously, we cannot support his stance on every issue. When that happens, we should let our voices be heard. While we will not agree with everything he does, we do hope he can get us out of the recession we are in.

Good luck, Mr. President. We hope and pray you do a good job.
