The Thorsby Town Council did not ask the Park and Recreation Board to pay back a $19,000 loan it made in 2007.

In reviewing previous council minutes, Mayor Dearl Hilyer noticed that the park’s loan from the general fund was still open. He wanted to make sure that this loan didn’t remain open in the minutes.

The council also recommended that the park board go ahead and make improvements to their field instead of paying back the money at this time.

The council also agreed to let Danny Edwards with Palladium Place pay $500 a month for the remainder of a bill for paving a street. The town will also pay its bill due Feb. 10 on water system improvements.

School for Terry Jackson and Ricky Wells was also approved.
