ISABELLA – Isabella’s girls and boys teams on Thursday used the fourth quarter to put away their stubborn Thorsby counterparts.

The Isabella boys didn’t allow the Rebels (8-7, 3-8 area) to score a point for the first 4 minutes and 12 seconds of the final period. During that time, the Mustangs (4-8, 0-4)) built an 8-point lead that would only grow the rest of the way in a 48-37 win.

Brian Donovan paced the Isabella attack with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

The Isabella girls (7-6, 2-2) had a harder go of it. The lead changed hands several times in the fourth quarter of this game.

With 1:05 remaining, Isabella’s Amber Wyatt rebounded a missed 3-pointer and put the ball in for a 30-28 edge that would turn out to be the final.

Wyatt scored 14, pulled down 19 rebounds and blocked two shots.

Ashlin Hilyer scored all 10 of her points in the second half for the Rebels (6-8, 0-4).
