MONTGOMERY — A committee created by the Alabama Democratic Party has made its recommendations for U.S. attorney in Alabama. One of them is the same as the list previously recommended by a panel formed by Barack Obama’s Alabama campaign chairman, Rep. Artur Davis.

The Democratic Party’s Alabama Presidential Advisory Council announced Monday that its first choices for U.S. attorney are Joyce Vance in the Northern District, Anna Clark Morris in the Middle District, and Barrown Langster in the Southern District.

Davis’ panel also recommended Vance, who is chief of the appeals section for the U.S. attorney in Birmingham.

The other top recommendations from Davis’ panel were for Michel Nicrosi in the Middle District and Vicki Davis in the Southern District.

The Democratic Party’s panel also recommended Madison County District Judge Lynn Sherrod as its first choice for a U.S. district judgeship in north Alabama.
