Stephanie Smitherman of Clanton and Ryan Rigsby of Maplesville are proud to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride elect is the daughter of Gary and Sandra Smitherman of Clanton, and the granddaughter of Bill Blankenship of Welch, WV and Gene Rodgers of Clanton.

Smitherman is a 2007 graduate of Isabella High School and is attending Wallace Community College where she is studying business administration. She is currently employed at Bar-D Western Store.

The prospective groom is the son of Ronny Rigsby of Greenville and Shirley Rigsby of Maplesville. He is the grandson of Ethel Giles of Maplesville and Morris Horton of Birmingham.

Rigsby is a 2006 graduate of Maplesville High School and is currently employed at Southern Copper & Supply.

The wedding is set for Jan. 10, 2009 at Clanton First Assembly of God, at 4 p.m. Invitations are being sent. A reception will follow at Clanton First Assembly of God.
