Today is the day that everyone’s hard work gets to pay off as presents get opened and food gets eaten.

The time has been counting down and bright and early this morning you were probably awakened by your children or grandchildren wanting to show you what Santa brought them and put under the Christmas tree.

It is this morning that you can really stop and take a look at everything that you have accomplished through the holiday season. Up until now I’m sure you have still been thinking of everything that you have forgotten and double checking your Christmas list to make sure everyone has the right amount of presents and that you have cooked everything you need for Christmas dinner.

Now comes the fun part. Putting all of the toys together that Santa brought you kids and then trying to get them ready to travel and see grandparents when they just want to play with their toys.

While your trying to deal with all of the days stress make sure you don’t rush to try and make a special event with family and friends. During the holiday season there are more wrecks because one of two things, people drink at parties and drive home or they try and rush somewhere they have to be and they don’t pay attention to what they are doing.

There is nothing about the Christmas holiday that says time is running out and you have to get everything done by rushing. There may be deadlines on any other day of the year like not being late to work or dinner dates but you can’t be late on Christmas because family only cares about seeing you and the fact that you love them enough to visit and they don’t worry about you being late.

Christmas is all about spending time together and celebrating the birth of Jesus, family, friends and your life. I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
