Mr. and Mrs. John Gorecki are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Gorecki to Timothy Lucas Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim H. Hicks.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester and Teresa Gorecki and Mr. and Mrs. David Goodman, the late Mr. Charles Zalaback.

She graduated with a degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Addis Sue Hicks and the late Mr. Fred H. Hicks, Mrs. Dorothy S. Lucas and the late Mr. James C. Lucas.

He is a graduate of Alabama Southern with a degree in Nursing and is currently employed by the Veteran’s Administration Hospital.

The wedding is planned for Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. at Lucille Ryals Thompson Colonial Chapel at American Village in Montevallo.
