Over the years, society has grown to enjoy new ways to celebrate Christmas. Or have we?

In a recent poll at the Clanton Blockbuster, more people said they liked older Christmas movies instead of the new releases.

Mikenzi Potts said that one of her favorites was A Christmas Story.

According to Matthew Cordell, a cashier at Blockbuster, Potts is not the only person in town who thinks A Christmas Story is one of the best Christmas movies of all time.

“We have not been able to keep it on the shelf. As soon as I put it up, someone else is in here checking it out,” Cordell said.

To help people find all of their old favorites, Blockbuster has put all of the classic Christmas movies together in the front of the store.

Cordell added that the new movies getting the most attention were Fred Claus and Elf. The newest comedy Christmas movies have yet to catch the full attention and love of the public.

In the opinion of a blog on the Web site CLTV, the Top 10 Christmas movies of all time are:

10 – The Ref (1994)

9 – The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

8 – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

7 – Love Actually (2003)

6 – Bad Santa (2003)

5 – Gremlins (1984)

4 – A Christmas Story (1983)

3 – Home Alone (1990)
