Leroy’s Clint Moseley named ASWA Mr. Football

Leroy High School quarterback Clint Moseley has been named the state’s Mr. Football by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

Moseley led Leroy to a 15-and-oh record and their 3rd straight Class 2A championship as a senior.

Moseley was recognized Thursday night at a banquet hosted by The Birmingham News.

The 6-foot-2, 190 pound signal caller threw for 3,749 yards with 35 touchdowns and five interceptions during the 2008 season.

Leroy High School is located in Washington County.

The AWSA board is made of sports writers who cover prep sports in the state.
