Parading because…We Passed the Test

The Jemison Elementary School k-2 students celebrated the completion of their DIBELS testing with a parade around the school.

Each year, the DIBELS test is administered to children in grades k-2 to see where the student’s skills in reading lie.

This year, like others in the past, Jemison Elementary excelled at their testing, reaching their benchmark point that is the goal set by the state.

“Our teachers and students work hard all year, and this little bit of celebration is just a way that we can say thank you to everyone for doing such a great job both at teaching and at learning,” Principal Louise Pitts said.
