Holiday celebrating at its finest

I don’t know about everyone else, but for some reason the Christmas season just seems to fly by. No matter how much I try to prepare for Christmas during the year there is still so much to do when the time finally arrives.

There are gifts to wrap, parties to visit and family to see, all of which take up most of your off time. So between work, visiting and chores how are you supposed to relax and enjoy the holidays?

In some ways it seems like you don’t get to relax and enjoy the holidays. Yet for some reason after you eat a big dinner and you’re sitting there with your family or friends, you forget about all the hard work you have done and all the work that is left to do, and you can just sit and enjoy your company.

Just because you are entertaining friends or family doesn’t mean you have to have a perfect house or a five-course meal prepared. If you make things feel like home then you and your guest will have a much better time.

You know you are celebrating the holidays when tomorrow’s workload hasn’t crossed your mind or when you leave the dishes in the sink and they don’t bother you until after your company has gone. Throughout the next few weeks, people will be celebrating with parties and dinners. While you are celebrating, remember that your time with friends and family is the most relaxing thing you can do over the holidays.

If you don’t believe me, then you should try spending time without them.

I promise that you will end up doing more work because you will be bouncing around the house cleaning, cooking or being board.

So, while you have a good excuse to visit the people in your life that you care about, get out and do it.

I know I can’t wait to start celebrating the season of Christmas with people close to my heart.
