Thank you so much for the article in Sunday’s The Clanton Advertiser by Ashley McCartney about Pearl Harbor.

We tend to forget the attack by the Japanese 67 years ago.

I was 12 years old and in the seventh grade, and my family was in church when the news about Pearl Harbor was made. Too many lives were lost to pay for our freedom for us ever to forget what happened on this day.

I was proud to know that the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3193 had a Remembrance Day ceremony and flew the flag at half-staff in front of the VFW building.
