MOBILE — The Alabama Propane Gas Association is on the road this week to showcase propane as an alternative fuel for vehicles.

The first stop begins Tuesday morning in Mobile at Bishop State Community. Separate events are planned in Montgomery on Wednesday at the state Agriculture Department’s Beard Building and Hoover on Thursday at the Hoover Public Safety Center.

The association is showcasing dedicated propane vehicles such as the Blue Bird Vision School Bus, Roush Ford F-150 Pickup Truck, GM 8.1L Medium Duty Truck and EnviroGard Lawnmower.

Association officials say as the drive toward alternative energy sources continues, commercial and residential consumers need to know all the various fueling options available to them.
