Flower planting will continue

Dear Editor,

Many local residents have expressed concern if the beautification and planting of flowers in downtown Clanton will continue.

The answer is Yes.

Former council member Ann Baker began this partnership of Master Gardeners and the City of Clanton a few years ago and this tradition will continue under her direction as a member of the Chilton County Master Gardeners Association.

Our seasonal plantings will take place in October and April every year.

We are thrilled that many appreciate our efforts and the beauty it brings to downtown Clanton.

Let’s work together to continue the pride we have not only in Clanton but also throughout Chilton County.

– Roy Sallis, President Chilton County Master Gardeners
