Readers give thanks

Dear Editor,

I am so thankful for life each and every day. My husband and I were blessed with a special needs child 11 years ago.

This birth chaged by attitude about life in many ways. We should always thank God for everything, especially life, because it is so precious.

I wish mothers everywhere would be thankful for what their child can do and not focus on what they cannot do.

We are blessed!

Dear Editor,

As I sit and type this I can think of so many things I am thankful for. I am thankful for those people who took care of my Mother, Miriam Mims, at Hatley Health Care for over a year. She passed Oct. 24. I’m also thankful for all the friends and family who showed their concern with cards, food and personal contact.

I’m thankful to be an American and a resident of Alabama. I’m thankful that the price of gasoline went down, at least for now. I’m thankful for today’s technology, cell phones, High Definition TV and the like.

Most of all I’m thankful for my Lord Jesus, the one in control. Folks, no matter what happens with the economy, he will take us through it. I’m also thankful for The Clanton Advertiser that allows it’s readers to speak out, exercising another American privilege, free speech. Thanks, I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.
