Jamar Hopson accounted for two touchdowns, and Donte Vinson preserved a late Billingsley lead with an interception in his own end zone as the Bears won at Wadley, 18-10.

The win, Billingsley’s first playoff victory since 1997, means the Bears (9-2) will travel to Class 1A No. 3 Linden next week in a rematch from earlier in the season. The Patriots (11-0) won that one 27-26.

Hopson, who finished with 97 yards on 21 carries, started the scoring with 2:42 remaining in the first quarter on a 1-yard run.

Tim Simon, who had 60 yards on 16 carries, scored with 37 seconds left in the half, but Billingsley missed both of its point-after attempts in the half and led 12-7 at intermission.

Billingsley quarterback Mario Reese found Hopson on a 6-yard pass midway through the third quarter to conclude Billingsley’s scoring.
