Bush shouldn’t get all the blame

Dear Editor,

As Americans, we love to place blame. One such blame is that all of our economic woes are the fault of President Bush. We need to remember that there are three branches of government: the president is the executive branch, the congress which is the legislative branch, and the court systems which makes up the judicial system.

No bills or laws are passed without all three of these branches participating. So problems were not created by one person or branch of government. We are responsible for placing people into these positons in one of two ways: either we elect them and keep them in office or through apathy, we allow them to be elected by not casting our votes.

We need to take resonsiblity as Americans more seriously by educating ourselves on the issues and what type of person is running for office. If we don’t arm ourselves with knowledge, then we are at risk for losing our rights as U.S. citizens.

Each vote counts and is our God given right. We must make a difference at the polls on Nov. 4.

Pray for our officials, our country and our troops. God Bless America.
