Verbena kept its playoff hopes alive with a dominating 38-13 win over Donoho on Friday.

The Red Devils (3-4, 2-4 region) got an outstanding performance from Kelly Lucas. He rushed for more than 150 yards in the first half alone and finished the game with more than 200 yards rushing along with four touchdowns.

Austin Daniel also chipped in a touchdown while Brandon White had three interceptions on the night.

Verbena jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter and added another score before halftime. The teams traded touchdowns in the second half.

The Red Devils will travel to Winterboro next week for a chance to earn a playoff berth.
