Jemison Police hope to capture three or more suspects involved in multiple vehicle break-ins last Friday night at Jemison High School.

Between 8 and 9 p.m., at least seven vehicles were vandalized while the school’s football team was traveling outside the county. The vehicles belonged to players, a coach and at least one parent. The vehicles were parked inside the fence near the football stadium.

Police officials have released still photos culled from video images taken by the school’s video cameras.

“We got the best three still photos we can get,” Police Chief Brian Stilwell said. “There are at least three suspects, maybe four.”

The vehicle driven by the suspects is a white Dodge 1997-1999 extended cab pickup SLT package with chrome mirrors, fog lights and chrome “nurf bars” or chrome running boards.

Charges being sought in the case include felony unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, criminal mischief, and theft of property.

“We have obtained the video from the school and are working to enhance the images of the individuals,” Stilwell said. “Jemison Police investigators have followed up on numerous leads, but are still looking for any information.”

Any information can be called into Jemison Police Department at 688-4491, ext. 204. You do not have to leave your name.

“We do not use caller ID, so you can remain anonymous,” Stilwell noted.

It is still unknown whether four other car break-ins that occurred the same weekend in different areas of Jemison are related.
