Mr. and Mrs. Todd Parker of Thorsby are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Nicole Parker, to Jason Steven Roberson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Roberson of Calera.

Crystal is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Sheffield of Calera, Nora Byrd of Jemison and the late R.V. Parker of Birmingham. She is also the great granddaughter of Wilma Cox and the late Rev. Clifford Cox of Thorsby.

Jason is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Barnett, Kermit Roberson and the late Mary Charles Roberson of Calera.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Jemison High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montevallo in 2005. Crystal is employed with the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Shelby Academy and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montevallo in 2002. Jason is employed with the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The couple will marry at 4 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Jemison. All family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate this joyous event.

The couple plans to reside in Thorsby.
