Jemison bounced back on Tuesday from an uninspired showing in its own invitational tournament over the weekend with a 25-7, 25-12, 25-22 win over Thorsby.

Both Christie Hoffmeyer and Alexis Reeves served 100 percent from the line. Hoffmeyer also had five kills.

Tabatha Cork posted a team-high 12 digs to go along with four kills. Dallis Vanderslice and Emily Smithey got in on the defensive effort to post 10 digs each.

Kasi Wells had 11 assists, Whitney Childress had four aces, Codi Mims had five kills and Samantha Glass had three kills.

Jemison’s junior varsity team also won, 25-22, 25-18.
