MONTGOMERY – Gasoline prices continue to climb. Tuesday’s survey from AAA Alabama shows the price for regular unleaded and other motor fuels rose two cents overnight.

The statewide average is $4.05 a gallon.

The national average also was up one cent to $3.85.

Midgrade and premium fuels averaged $4.23 and $4.35, respectively.

Huntsville motorists paid the highest average for regular at $4.12 a gallon. The lowest prices are found in Mobile at $3.93 a gallon.

Industry officials say it could be several weeks before the refineries are producing as much gasoline as before Hurricane Ike.
